APPLICATIONS

Catalysts can be designed, tuned and optimized to perform specific functions.

  • Convert Dirty to Clean Fuels
    The conversion of methane, coal and biomass into clean burning gasoline and diesel fuels, lubricants and other high value products at lower pressures and temperatures in portable or stationary applications. Use these low-cost catalysts, currently in development, to expand your usable feedstocks to inexpensive stranded reserves and reduce your break-even production points.
  • Reduce Toxic Emissions
    Decrease the amount of carbon monoxide, unburned hydrocarbons and NOx emitted from factory smokestacks, motor vehicles and marine exhaust. New catalysts will also have to meet new regulations on the tolerated emission of sulfur dioxide, volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and methane. Use our catalysts to reduce the negative effects on human health and the environment. Our automotive 3-way catalyst has been developed under a licensing agreement.
  • Generate Clean & Sustainable Energy
    Control chemical processes critical in alternative energy technologies without the use of the incumbent platinum group metals and rare earth elements. Lower catalyst working temperatures eliminate the need for exotic and expensive materials, and systems design is simplified by working at atmospheric pressure. These applications are in early-stage laboratory development.
  • Industrial Processes
    Penetrate deeper into the more than $1 trillion annual market where catalysts are used in at least one production step. Lower activation energies and higher selectivity can translate to huge savings in capital and operational expenditures.
